- As the night came to a start, the energy was unparalleled to any VPW event previously held in the last 18 months, the atmosphere was tense and the excitement grew as the main event tag match drew near.
- Rick James - The loud mouth of VPW took it upon himself to greet the Portsmouth fans, explaining how ‘his’ man, Rob Holte deserved respect after denying local star Jake McCluskey his 1st ever victory back in October 2009!
- Before long Mr Moonsault himself bounced out from beyond the curtain to 563 strong Portsmouth fans chanting "Jakes a legend" with the unpleasant experience of having to go one on one with "The Basingstoke Brawler" for a 2nd time. Tonight McCluskey was set on making an impact!
As expected, Holte unloaded with an arsenal strong enough to keep any grown man down, but not 17 year old Mr Moonsault who refused stay down! Portsmouth fans clearly wanted to witness the Moonsault specialist over come tough man Rob Holte, which came one step closer as Holte slipped from the top rope to crash and burn in a heap in the centre of the ring. Out of nowhere Jake McCluskey launched himself high into the sky executing a picture perfect Moonsault, as soon as Holte could move, Jake landed on his feet and out smarted the Brawler jumping immediately into a standing Moonsault, nailing the shocked Holte to gain his 1st victory within VPW!
- Next, saw ruthless EWF wrestling champion Ian Logan decimate Zulu Warrior after a clash of titans style fight for 15 minutes solid ending abruptly when Logan hit his vicious signature move he calls the "Destruction Device"- Unannounced and unplanned - greeted with a roar of displeasure, the Atlantic Alliance strolled to ring side reinforcing their dominance, followed by veteran Bob Holly dismissing Jake McCluskeys earlier victory as nothing but a fluke against "a no talent nobody who has achieved nothing in the wrestling business" in addition, stating he needed a tune up match and who better to beat up, than Mr Moonsault - Jake McCluskey. The 17 year old star cautiously returned while the Atlantic Alliance looked on in laughter.- Before the fans could digest the dissection of the new found favourite of Portsmouth, the self proclaimed "International Superstar" The UK KID offered to take the tune up match off the hands of Bob Holly and use the opportunity to toy with the in-experienced rookie. As the bell rung, every ones hopes of Mr Moonsault overcoming the odds once again were soon dashed, with a series of forearms to the face dropping the youngster in a heartbeat. After showing his handy work to best friend Bob Holly,UK KID stood grinning ear to ear setting up for the super kick that has finished the likes of D'lo Brown, Chris Masters, and recently BG James once known as The Road Dogg.
- The tables were suddenly turned when Jake McCluskey slipped in a small package out of nowhere to snatch the 1,2,3 generating an eruption of cheer.
- The match of experience versus youth saw Mr Moonsault earn undoubtedly the biggest opportunity of his career defeating one half of the Atlantic Alliance!!
- Following a quick intermission, VPW saw the debut of fitness guru, Christopher Starr who wasted no time in making an example of his opponent while encouraging what he called "the lazy locals" to, "pick up a weight bar, not a mars bar"
- Despite frustration from Bob Holly and the UK KID with how things turned out earlier, the pair appeared in the ring an began an emotional war of words with The Devon Power House - Chris Andrews, brandishing absent tag team partner former DX star BG James a coward at which point the lights go out, "i'm an ass man" roars through the Portsmouth Guildhall sound system and The Devon Power House had his new tag team Partner, Kip James, also known as BILLY GUNN!. . . . . before the tag team match could really get going Kip James began to verbally abuse the pair of Holly and UK KID to the joy of every one in attendance.
From the 1st strike we were on the way to a tag team classic, bodies flying left to right - yet Former WWE hardcore Champion Bob Holly seemed somewhat hesitant about getting in the ring with former king of the ring Kip James, even refusing to tag UK KID!
despite the circumstances ‘The Atlantic Alliance’ still managed to grab the upper hand and dish out punishment on a withered Chris Andrews. With every single person on their feet chanting “we want Kip” somehow a tag was made and Kip is what they got. One reversed ‘Alabama Slam’ followed by a "Fameasser" from nowhere to capture the 1,2,3!
- Security struggled to hold people back who wanted to meet the former WWE star and Chris Andrews to join the celebrations.
- With press at hand "The Saviour of British Wrestling" VPW delivered surprise after surprise to top yet another great tour.
